Inspired by a still photograph I captured of a rock landscape in water from a drone, I translated the scene into an abstract form to express both the boldness of movement and the simultaneous feeling of being frozen in time. This piece reflects breakthroughs in my mental health journey, with the crashing waves symbolizing the beauty of chaos and resilience amid turbulent moments. The fine white lines pointing into the clear turquoise sea represent clarity and direction, cutting through the disarray. By incorporating oil paint and sand, I aimed to create a textured, dynamic composition that embodies turbulence and calm.
